Children can be demanding and requiring lots of patience, particularly during a holiday period when routines are not so rigid. Holidays are coming up. Courage!

When I came across this poster, I thought it reflected well some positive parenting practices. I particularly like the family meetings and use this regularly with my children. I also like the idea of being curious and asking questions to elicit children’s thinking. They often come up with better ideas and plans! They also then own the solution which facilitates actions.

Emphasising on positives helps children develop positive self-esteem, confidence and resilience. Have fun with these positive discipline ideas!
