#Resource Diary Entry 2: #Talkingaboutmentalhealth #support #classroom #wellbeing #schools #parents

Aimed at children, this video explores the topic of mental health. It talks about opening this important topic with others and aims to normalise possible difficulties. It also offers strategies on how to help a peer and seek support.

This video is a great tool for mental health promotion in schools and can be followed up by some activities in the classroom or small groups. For example, I asked the children to use their thumbs to make a mark on paper and then write strengths and ways to support their mental health for each thumb mark. A very successful activity overall!

This resource is also linked to a number of resources for wellbeing teams and school staff. From these resources, I delivered some wellbeing and mental health lessons in classes. Resources are well developed and simple to use. See link below.
